Megaman X PC Ports

These are the original PC ports of Megaman X4, X5 & X8 with everything needed to get them running. All games should have their windows compatability settings in place, but if not they are listed below:

• X4: Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)
• X5: Windows 98/Windows Me

CONTROLS

These games support controllers via a USB connection, but X8 doesn't have this. I recommend using Steam Input for it.

NECESSITIES

• vids:iv50 codec for X4 cutscenes (included in the folder)
• SafeDiscShim for X5 to boot (DRM break)

PLAYING X4

You can change the window size by pressing Fn + F4, so if you don't want to play in fullscreen you can do that. Fn + F7 changes the resolution.

PLAYING X5

You must have X5 placed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\CAPCOM\  file path for it to boot up after installing the DRM break. If it crashes on startup a couple times it'll work eventually (it usually takes me 3 or 4 to get it going). If it fails to start more than 8 times, check if the compatability settings are correct. If the game is running too fast you must restart your PC. It will then run correctly.
